Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to appointments, treatment packages and gift vouchers purchased from or booked with Moray Sports Massage.
By booking an appointment, purchasing a treatment package or purchasing/redeeming a gift voucher, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Bookings & Appointments
Appointments should be booked in advance through the online booking system, by telephone or directly with Moray Sports Massage.
Walk-in appointments are not available.
When booking, you are responsible for providing accurate contact details and any relevant information that may affect your treatment.
Health Information
You inform about any relevant:
Medical conditions
Injuries
Recent surgery
Medication
Pregnancy
Changes in your health
Investigations or treatment currently being carried out by another healthcare professional.
Please provide this information before treatment and let me know if anything changes between appointments.
If there is any reason that treatment may be inappropriate or unsafe, your appointment may be modified, postponed or declined.
Where appropriate, you may be advised to seek assessment or clearance from your GP, physiotherapist or another suitably qualified healthcare professional before treatment continues.
Consent to Treatment
Treatment will only be provided with your consent.
During your appointment, the proposed treatment will be discussed with you and you are encouraged to ask questions if anything is unclear.
You can ask for a technique to be changed or stopped at any time.
Your consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any point during an appointment.
Booking an appointment does not mean that you are required to consent to every treatment technique suggested.
Nature of Treatment.
Sports massage, remedial massage, mobility work, rehabilitation and exercise coaching are intended to help improve movement, manage symptoms, support recovery and help you work towards your individual goals.
Responses to treatment vary between individuals and no particular outcome, cure or recovery time can be guaranteed.
Some treatments may result in temporary tenderness, soreness, fatigue or changes in symptoms afterwards. This varies for each individual.
Moray Sports Massage does not provide medical services or diagnosis and does not replace appropriate medical assessment or treatment.
If your symptoms suggest that further medical investigation is required, you may be advised to seek appropriate healthcare before continuing treatment.
Cancellation & Rescheduling.
I understand that plans change. However, appointment time is reserved specifically for you.
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice can normally be moved without charge.
Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided:
A prepaid appointment will be treated as used.
A session booked as part of a treatment package will be deducted from the package.
A gift voucher used to secure the appointment is be treated as redeemed.
Payment of the missed appointment may be required before another appointment can be booked.
Missed appointments/no-shows may be charged at the full appointment price and prepaid appointments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless specified.
Cancellation charges reflect appointment time that has been reserved and not the application of a treatment.
Rescheduling is always subject to appointment availability.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, I will do my best to accomodate as much of your appointment as possible however this may not be possible.
However, your session will still finish at the originally scheduled time so that the next client's appointment is not affected.
The full appointment price will still apply.
If you are significantly late and there is not enough time to provide treatment safely or appropriately, the appointment may need to be treated as a late cancellation.
Treatment Packages
Where appointments are purchased as part of a package:
Packages are for the person for whom they were purchased unless otherwise agreed or stated.
Sessions must be used within any validity period stated at the time of purchase.
Missed appointments and cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may count as one session used.
Packages cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
Any statutory rights you have as a consumer are unaffected.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated when purchased.
Gift vouchers:
Cannot normally be exchanged for cash.
Cannot be resold.
Must be redeemed before their expiry date.
Can be used towards services provided by Moray Sports Massage only.
Vouchers must be purchased through Moray Sports Massage to ensure validity.
Please contact me as soon as possible if a voucher is lost or you cannot locate the voucher information. Where the original purchase can reasonably be verified, I will try to accomodate.
Expiry dates do not affect any statutory rights that may apply to the original purchase.
Under-18s
Clients under the age of 18 may require consent from a parent or legal guardian before treatment.
Depending on the client's age and circumstances, a parent or guardian may also be required to remain present during the appointment.
Exercise & Rehabilitation
Where exercises, mobility work or rehabilitation activities are recommended, you are responsible for following the instructions provided and communicating any unexpected pain, symptoms or concerns.
Exercise should be stopped if you experience symptoms that cause concern, and appropriate medical advice should be sought where necessary.
Recommendations will be based on the information available at the time of your appointment and may need to change as your condition or symptoms change.
Client Responsibilities
To help provide treatment safely and effectively, you agree to:
Provide accurate and relevant health information.
Tell me if your symptoms or health circumstances change.
Inform me if treatment feels uncomfortable or causes unexpected symptoms.
Ask questions whenever you are unsure about treatment or advice.
Seek appropriate medical attention where advised.
You remain responsible for decisions regarding your own training, sporting participation and physical activity outside your appointments.
Professional Scope
Moray Sports Massage provides sports and remedial massage, movement and mobility work, rehabilitation support and related coaching within the practitioner's professional training and scope of practice.
Where your needs fall outside that scope, treatment may be declined or you may be advised to seek assessment from another healthcare professional.
Liability
Moray Sports Massage will take reasonable care when providing its services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about their health and for following appropriate advice regarding treatment, exercise and medical referral.
Moray Sports Massage cannot be responsible for problems arising from information that was not disclosed or from advice or exercise recommendations being followed in a way that was materially different from that discussed .
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
Privacy & Client Information
Information collected during booking, consultation and treatment is handled confidentially and used for purposes connected with providing and administering your appointments.
Information may be processed through trusted service providers used for functions such as online booking, payments, website operation and communications.
Personal information will not be sold to third parties.
Information may only otherwise be disclosed where you have consented, where it is reasonably necessary to provide a service you have requested, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Cancellation by Moray Sports Massage
Occasionally an appointment may need to be cancelled or rearranged because of illness, emergencies or circumstances outside my reasonable control.
If I need to cancel your appointment, I will make reasonable efforts to give you as much notice as possible and offer an alternative appointment.
Any payment made in advance for an appointment that I am unable to provide will be refunded or put towards pre payment of future appointments and is at your discretion.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically.
The terms applying to an appointment or purchase will be those in effect at the relevant time.
Changes will not remove statutory rights or unfairly alter an agreement that has already been made.
